It is almost impossible to distinguish iPhone 3G from iPhone 3GS only by looking at the external design as these are extremely identical. But iPhone 3GS is quite different from iPhone 3G with a much faster processor 600 MHz as compared to 412 MHz of iPhone 3G. Also iPhone 3GS has double RAM 256 MB than what iPhone 3G has (128 MB). iPhone 3GS has additional features like Compass (as pointed out in the picture by green arrow) and Voice Control (orange arrow). If you do not find these features in your iPhone then it must be an iPhone 3G. In addition to the above features iPhone 3GS has 3.0 Megapixels Camera with 'autofocus' (tap to focus) and 'video recording capabilities' while iPhone 3G has 2.0 Megapixels camera with no autofocus or video recording capability. |
